In the panic of Wall Street when investments fell to near nothing, I felt some comfort that I had only a few minor, conservative stocks. What I did feel good about was my professional history of purchasing fine gemstones of all sorts; tourmalines, aquamarines, rubies, sapphires as well as diamonds...all in top quality and excellent high grade faceting work. All of the craftsmanship at Chinawest Jewelers is in 14k, 18k or Platinum and is custom designed by us, in-house. We did not lose anything in this paper crash or devaluating currency. Like our Grandmothers of old, and even in ancient times, gemstones and precious metals always remain an exchange standard, as well as an asset of beauty.
